You should avoid abrasive, harsh drying soap or cleansers while using Benzac. The medicine may cause bleaching, so you should avoid contact with clothing and hair. If you use sunscreen containing PABA together with Benzac, you may have temporary skin coloration, so avoid this combination.

What should be known before using Benzac.

If your skin is sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, or irritated, do not use Benzac, because it can worsen the condition. Do not use Benzac on wounds or eczema areas. You should get the full recovery of these conditions and then use Benzac. If you are taking medicines containing tretinoin, such as Altinac, Avita, Renova, Retin-A, do not use Benzac, because it can lead to skin irritation.

It is not confirmed if Benzac is harmless to the pregnant women and unborn babies, so you’d better consult your doctor or Benzac drugstore before using it. It’s unknown if Benzac gets into the breast milk.

How should Benzac be used?

Your doctor will explain you how to use Benzac, so you should follow his recommendations.

When you use Benzac, wash hands before and after applying the topical.

Apply Benzac to clean and dried affected area of skin. Shake the bottle before use. When applying the medicine, avoid eyes area and inside the nose and mouth, lips and damaged areas of the skin. It can worsen the side effects. You should wait until the full skin recovery before using Benzac. After applying the lotion do not cover the areas of the skin, because too much medicine can get to the body and cause harm.

Benzac is usually applied two or three times a day.

The drugs containing tretinoin (Altinac, Avita, Renova, Retin-A) should not be taken together with Benzac, because it can cause skin damage.

Do not use Benzac together with other topical, because it will harm the medicine effectiveness.

You shouldn’t use harsh, abrasive, or irritating cleansers, perfumes, or cosmetics, because it may lead to skin irritation.
