Pharmacological action. A tricyclic energizer with a rather short latent period. Practically does not possess sedative action.

Indications. Depressive phases of a manic-depressive psychosis, all other forms of endogen depressions (reactive and neurotic). In a combination with amitriptyline – at the depressions, which have arisen at treatment with reserpine. In a combination with neuroleptics – at treatment of the depressions, which have developed during a therapy of schizophrenic psychoses. Involutory depressions, depressive-apathetic syndromes on a background of cerebral arteriosclerosis.

Mode of batching. A doze is selected individually. Treatment is to be started with low dozes, which are increased depending on reactance and tolerance of the patient, to the people of the advanced age lower dozes are prescribed. The average doze is 75-100 mg/day, (1 pill 3-4 times). It is not recommended to exceed a doze of 150 mg/day. After achievement of remission a doze should be gradually reduced to a minimal supporting.

Collateral action. Dryness in a mouth, a delay of urination, a contamination, a tachycardia, frustration of accommodation, disorientation, excitation, psychoses and hallucinations, extrapyramidal frustration, infringements of a cardiac rhythm, frustration of sexual functions.

Contra-indications. Absolute: a heart attack of myocardium, depression with the disturbing-excited syndromes (attempts of suicide), simultaneous application of timeretics (and within 2 weeks after its termination). Relative: pregnancy, chest feeding, preschool age, a glaucoma, a hypertrophy of a prostate gland with a delay of urination, complicated cardiac insufficiency, a heavy hypertensia, paralytic impassability of intestines, an aggravation of a stomach ulcer.
