What should be known before taking Requip?

If you have any conditions listed below, inform your doctor about it, before taking Requip.

• dizzy or fainting spells

• heart disease

• high blood pressure

• kidney disease

• liver disease

• low blood pressure

• sleeping problems

• an unusual or allergic reaction to ropinirole, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives

• pregnant or trying to get pregnant

• breast-feeding

How to take Requip?

Requip is taken orally, you should drink a glass of water with the pill. The medicine should be taken with food. Take the medicine regularly. Do not overdose. If you have any questions about how to take the medicine, consult your doctor.

Ask the pediatrician if it is possible to take Kemadrin for children, because special attention may be needed.

In case of overdose ask for immediate medical help.

Do not give the medicine to other people.

In case, when you miss the dose, take the medicine as soon as possible. If it’s time for taking next dose, skip the missed one and take the next pill. Do not take two doses at once.

What is Requip interaction with other medicines and products?

Requip may interact with some medicine and other products. Be careful while taking Kemadrin with the medicine, listed below.

• ciprofloxacin

• female hormones, like estrogens and birth control pills

• medicines for depression, anxiety, or psychotic disturbances

• metoclopramide

• mexiletine

• norfloxacin

• omeprazole

This list is not complete. Inform your doctor if you are taking medicines, herbs, non-prescription drugs, or dietary supplements. Also your doctor should known if you smoke, drink alcohol, or use illegal drugs. Some of these conditions may interact with Kemadrin and lead to unpleasant effects.

What important safety information should be known?

Visit your doctor regularly in order to monitor the process of your treatment. It may take about several weeks to feel the complete effect of treatment with Requip.

While taking Requip lightheadedness or vision disorders may be observed. Your doctor should regularly control your health condition, while you’re proceeding with the treatment. Do not forget to visit your doctor. Consult your doctor whether your symptoms get worse or better.

While taking Requip you may feel drowsiness and dizziness.

Do not do any activity which demand serious mental work or concentration, including driving and machinery operating.

Consult your doctor immediately if you fell sleepy while doing your everyday activities? it may be dangerous and require medical control.

You may feel dryness in your mouth. Ask your doctor about the way to avoid unpleasant effects.

What are side effects of Requip?

Requip as many other medicines may cause side effects. Inform your doctor without delay if you feel any of effects listed below. You may require medical help.

• changes in vision

• chest pain

• confusion

• fast, irregular heartbeat

• feeling faint or lightheaded, falls

• hallucination, loss of contact with reality

• increase or decrease in blood pressure

• joint or muscle pain

• loss of bladder control

• numbness, tingling, or prickly sensations

• shortness of breath, troubled breathing, tightness in chest, or wheezing

• suicidal thoughts or other mood changes

• uncontrollable head, mouth, neck, arm, or leg movements

• vomiting

There are side effects, which may be disturbing but do not require special medical care. They are:

• clumsiness, feeling unsteady, or dizziness, especially early in treatment

• flushing

• headache

• increased sweating

• nausea

• tremor

• yawning

Inform your doctor if the side effects you feel get worse or are too disturbing for you.

There are some side effects which can occur but are not included in the list. Watch your condition attentively and visit the doctor if you have any complains.
